Transformation Of An Artists Bedroom

I was commissioned for an interior design project: The renovation of a bedroom for a young artist from Brampton. Here is a collage of images of the bedroom before I started.

And here is the room thus far:


This massive desk stretches from wall to wall allowing maximum space for art projects


Plastic cups countersunk into an extended tabletop hovering over the desk. A great place to put pencils, brushes and other art supplies

cabling and wires are fed underneath the table through a plastic cup that is located above the power outlet.


Under desk storage for canvas, books and other supplies.


Summer style bed. (Notice the large frame on the wall that is lined with blue fur, More on this to come!)


Floating shelves capable of holding 100lbs each


A collage of chalkboards...A clean way to draw on the walls!

After 100+ hours the Project is nearing completion. Stay tuned for the final photos!

This was a great project and I am happy with the results. Our client was greatly pleased in the work we did. We will be renovating another bedroom for them in the not so distant future, so stay tuned!

I recently designed a simple shelf comprised of a sheet of colored transparent acrylic and two metal poles which would be fastened directly to support beams in a wall. then, multiplied the shelves by 40 and lined then up in a row to create a more architectural feeling in this rendering.

I'll be showing a sculpture that has been in the works for some time now, but instead of working on that I have gotten rather sidetracked recently and created a new painting:

I currently do not have a name for this piece yet so I will be referring to it as no1. I don're really know why but it just seems fitting.

Michelle and I have started working on a wall mural for a ten year old boy's bedroom. He likes castles, dragons and the middle ages so we began painting a playful scene of a dinosaur in armour defending a castle from a fire breathing dragon. The goal here is to create something playful and cartoony, we definatly don't want to scare him!

My geometric painting is on temporary hiatus until I can get back to my parents house to finish it up. Unfortunatly it is too large to easily move around, so I began painting something smaller in my apartment.

I built two 48x36" canvases out of hardboard and plywood and started painting geometric shapes on one of the canvases, I'm not really sure where i'm going with this but i'll figure it out eventually...
